Shipping Policy

We ship only within Canada.

 

Order Processing and Timing

 

  • Same-Day Shipping: Orders placed before 12:00 PM EST will ship the same business day, if possible. Due to high demand, we currently recommend ordering before 6:00 AM EST. Orders received after 2:00 PM EST will ship the next business day.

  • Tracking: Your tracking number will be sent directly from Canada Post in the evening, after the package has been scanned at their sorting facility, not when you receive our initial "order shipped" email.

  • Address Accuracy: Ensure your address is full and complete, including apartment or unit numbers. If an order is canceled due to an incomplete address, you will be refunded minus any associated shipping charges.

 

Canada Post Shipping Rates and Estimates

 

We use a flat-rate system with Canada Post Business Expedited and Xpresspost services to keep costs low.

Shipping Rates (Flat Rate System)

  • Purchases $10.00 – $99.00:

    • Expedited (2–6 business days): $10.00 Flat Rate

    • Xpresspost (1–3 business days): $15.00 plus a Location Surcharge

  • Purchases Over $99.00 (Before Tax):

    • Expedited: FREE SHIPPING

    • Xpresspost: Upgrade available at checkout.

Estimated Delivery Timeframes

  • Local (GTA): Next business day after shipping.

  • Regional (Ontario): 1–2 business days.

  • National (Rest of Canada): 2–6 business days.

Shipping Notes

  • Remote Locations: Shipments to Canada Post-defined "remote" areas may incur a small surcharge and require additional delivery time.

  • Bulk/Heavy Orders: We reserve the right to downgrade the shipping method or contact you for an additional shipping quote if your order is oversized, overweight, or bulky.

 

Important Shipping Restrictions and Warnings

 

  • Lithium-ion Batteries: Packages containing lithium-ion batteries cannot be shipped via Xpresspost. Your order will be downgraded to standard Business Expedited shipping, which typically adds 1–4 days to the transit time.

  • Glass Items: We cannot warranty or cover shipping damage to glass tanks or bongs. Order at your own risk, or purchase ROUTE insurance for coverage.

  • Canada Post Delays: Current delays are approximately 0–2 days, though this can vary. If your delivery is time-sensitive, please contact us at Info@SilkVapeStore.com for a quote on alternative shippers (Dimex, Loomis, FedEx, or Purolator).

 

Insurance and Claims

 

  • Basic Insurance: Canada Post basic insurance only covers up to $100 for lost, missing, or stolen parcels. PLEASE PURCHASE ROUTE insurance at checkout if you require coverage over $100 or want protection for glass items.

  • Investigation Protocol (Critical): If your package is lost or damaged, you must contact us first at Info@SilkVapeStore.com so we can initiate the claim. If you start an investigation with Canada Post yourself, we cannot assist until their investigation is fully closed.

  • Claim Timeframe: You have 48 hours from the time of delivery to make a claim for any missing or damaged product.

 

Age Verification and Returns

 

  • ID Required: All orders require a signature and government-issued ID proving you are 19 years of age or older. The ID must match the order information.

  • Return Fees (Customer Error): If a package is returned to us because the customer failed to sign/show ID, supplied an incorrect address, or refused delivery, we will pass on all return shipping costs. Any refund will be issued minus return shipping and a 90% restocking fee. If you are underage, do not order.

  • Unclaimed Orders: Unclaimed orders returned to us (from the post office or a store pickup location after 15 days) will be refunded minus the 30% restocking fee and shipping charges.

 

Store Pickup Instructions (If Offered)

 

If you would like to pick up your order at one of our locations:

  1. Add items to your cart.

  2. Proceed to checkout.

  3. Select your regular home address for shipping and choose Expedited Parcel $10.00 (this fee will be removed).

  4. Select "Interac Email Money Transfer (Canada Only)" as your payment method.

  5. In the ORDER COMMENTS section, state the location and payment method you intend to use (e.g., "I would like to pick up my order from the [Location] store and pay in cash").

  6. Orders placed by 9:00 AM Wednesday will typically be ready by 5:00 PM Thursday at your chosen store.

 

Out-of-Stock/Stock Errors

 

If a stocking error occurs, we will email you to change your order. If we do not receive a reply within 48 hours, we will refund the cost of the missing item(s) and ship the rest of your order.
